The ‘venom spitting’ Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria on Sunday caused an uproar after he urged Deputy President William Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga to tone down personal attacks against each other as the two leaders attacks are the cause for the rising political temperature in the country.

In a heated speech, Kuria was captured in a video referring to the two leaders as ‘ngui ichi’ a Kikuyu name for ‘dogs’ adding that Kenyans will soon decide to forget about the duo if they did not stop spitting venom against each other every day.

“We should reject this kind of divisive politics being preached by Raila and Ruto. Let us love and embrace each other regardless of our ethnic backgrounds. However, if Raila and Ruto will not hit the brakes on this, we have to forget about them. This kind of game where Ruto throws a salvo and then waits for Raila to answer is uncalled for,” the MP said.

Kuria has now come to defend himself against the allegations where he claims that he did not mention such words. He argues that he said that two leaders wear Gucci sunglasses the reason as to why they cannot see Wanjiku’s problems as they campaign for 2022.

Posting on his twitter account he said;

“Over the weekend I spoke in Gilgil and said there are leaders who are wearing GUCCI sunglasses and therefore can not see Wanjiku’s problems as they campaign for 2022. Some deviant elements are twisting that to say I referred to some leaders as ‘Ngui Ichi’ . Shetani ashindwe!”

Kuria and other leaders under the umbrella of Team Wanjiku were on a tour of Gilgil.

He said his faction was committed to uniting all the communities in the country and addressing the economic challenges facing them.

His sentiments were echoed by former Kibwezi MP Kalembe Ndile who said it was unfortunate some Jubilee allied leaders had grouped themselves in pro Ruto (Tanga Tanga) and pro Uhuru (Kieleweke) factions.
