Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula on Sunday found himself on the receiving end from a section of Kenyans on Twitter (KOT) after demanding that ODM party leader Raila Odinga support him for his 2022 Presidential Bid.
While speaking in Alego Usonga in Siaya County over the weekend, Wetangula said it is time that Odinga returned the favour to back him the way he had stood with him in 2013-2017 as he takes a stab at the 2022 presidential race.
Wetangula who first announced his 2022 candidature while in Kisumu in March 2018, urged the National Super Alliance (NASA) principals which include Musalia Mudavadi, Raila and Kalonzo Musyoka to support him in his bid saying he has what it takes to lead this country.
While making his 2022 declarations, Wetangula had insisted that he would join hands with Mudavadi for political strength that could see one of them ascend to the top seat.

” Without any fear of contradiction, I will be on the ballot in 2022 and am asking my brother Raila, my brother Kalonzo and my brother Mudavadi to scratch my back in 2022 since we have come along way together since 2013, “said Wetangula
Despite declaring in 2018 that his relationship with Raila Odinga would be “Messy, Noisy and with Casualties” after he was replaced with James Orengo as the Senate Minority leader, Wetangula insisted that he had no personal differences with the ODM boss saying that he supports his Handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
It was, however, Wetangula’s suggestion that Raila should support him in 2022 that left a section of Twitter users castigating him. Some of the users told off the Ford Kenya party leader telling him that he cannot be supported by Raila since he had not shown any stiffness in standing for what is right for the electorates.

Some felt that Wetangula was not bold enough to stand alone in 2022. They wondered why he always seeks endorsements when he doesn’t even command the Western Kenya vote.
Why can't you vie alone, must you be supported? It simply means you not qualified.

If you want to destroy a country give it useless education. If you want to destroy it faster give it useless and corrupt journalists.

Wetangula became the second candidate from Western Kenya to declare his 2022 bid after Amani National Congress Party leader Musali Mudavadi also announced his 2022 interests.
