Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has directed his blame for the rising number of deaths in the North Rift region to Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i and his counterpart Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho.

Speaking on Saturday at the burial of former Kabiego Ward MCA who was kidnapped and his body found a day later killed and dumped in a forest in West Pokot, Sudi blamed the two for engaging in politics at the expense of the country’s security.

Agitated Sudi said that the two were playing politics with the lives of Kenyans yet they are mandated to serve them on matters security.

“Security of all Kenyans is Paramount. Those mandated to discharge their duties on matters security should stick to their roles and avoid politicking. Our current Ministry for Interior is determined and focused on 2022 politics rather than providing security to Kenyans.” said Sudi

He wondered why the Police were wasting so much time in the investigations saying that they already know who killed the former MCA. Sudi termed Kibicho as a good for nothing officer who was bus engaging on who will be the President in 2022 at the expense of security in the country.

He wondered why Kibicho decided to turn deaf ears on Ruto’s death threats and instead concentrate on frustrating Dennis Kibicho as a way of diverting attention from the real issue.

” He is a stupid person, we can’t allow ourselves to do petty politics with the lives of Kenyans. I want to remind Kibicho and Matiang’i that it is Kenyans who voted in Uhuru and Ruto for you to be employed. Kenyans (employers) are the ones who are supposed to be respected and not killed” added Sudi

The vocal MP said that Kiptire was killed for standing with his people on matters of insecurity. Sudi wondered how the same police officers who were the source of the problems could be entrusted to do investigations.

“It is shameful that we still have the same people in office even after constant complaints raised by leaders and Kenyans. Security should not be taken for granted especially on those areas which are prone to insecurity, it should not be trivialized like the way it is now in Kerio Valley” said Sudi.

Sudi said that it was high time for the police to leave security matters to the locals who will find out ways to look after themselves since the officers had failed in their mandates.

“I urge all leaders from West Pokot, Elgeiyo Marakwet, Turkana and Baringo to preach peace and find ways to foster unity among warring communities even without police officers. It’s very sad that we are burying Benson Kiptire today because of such an issue. Such killings should STOP.” he posed.
