Peter Kenneth gave a touching tribute to his close friend Bob and got us thinking. We have praised Bob Collymore of being simple, down to earth and whatnot, but Peter Kenneth proved otherwise. Bob probably never blew his trumpet but he certainly never settled for less. Bob’s dressing evoked the essence of a man’s spirituality and character through the enhancement of the physical being.

Through Peter’s tribute, we learnt of one Ozwald Boateng, a tailor based British fashion designer of Ghanaian descent, known for his trademark twist on classic British tailoring and bespoke style. This what Peter had to say;

“I vividly remember one occasion, when he was fitting a new suit, he asked the tailor to sell the rest of us suits but the price was beyond our budgets. We politely told the tailor that we would return at a later date,” Kenneth reminisced in the tribute at All Saints Cathedral earlier today.”

Boateng has had a transformational impact on menswear fashion for almost three decades, with a design aesthetic rooted in Savile row traditions but defined by international style, detail, and artistry. His instinctive use of colour, cut and fabric fuses traditional classic British tailoring with a high-end modern design focus on the refinement of a man’s silhouette, this has brought tailoring to a whole new generation of men.
