The current trend of men preying on kids and teenagers has been on an escalating scale which is worrying.
The defilement cases are actually hitting the ceiling. For a second one might thing Kenya has lost its sense of humanity.
However The Deputy President William Ruto has added a voice in that inhumane vice that is spreading roots in most communities.
Speaking in Bungoma county, DP Ruto condemned the vice of people preying on teenagers instead asked them to express their manhood by getting engaged to women who are in surplus numbers in Kenya.
“Kama wewe ni mwanamume kamili, wanawake ni wengi, achana na watoto!” Ruto retorted.
He added,” We are taking stern action on sex offenders preying on our girls; impeding their education and disrupting their lives. Outdated cultural practices- FGM, child marriage, child labour- have no place in modern society and must be eliminated to give girls equal opportunity to learn.”
