Team Tangatanga has renewed its scathing attacks to the Office of the Director of Criminal Investigation George Kinoti over the arrest of former Head of State House Digital Communication Dennis Itumbi.
The DCI Kinoti has been dragged into the on-going plot to kill The Deputy President William Ruto following the arrest of Dennis Itumbi.
DCI Kinoti who employed the use of FBI,with the help of Cyber Crime Unit to get to the bottom of the assassination claim, has linked Itumbi to the controversial letter.
However Team Tangatanga which was pushing DCI Kinoti to investigate the matter have now turned the guns against him.
Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruyoit has stated that DCI Kinoti is trying to discredit the assassination claim by arresting Itumbi.
“DCI is working so hard to discredit the very serious allegations on a plot to eliminate WSR. Do they want us to believe that it is on account of a fake letter that 4 CS’s went to DCI to record statements ? Anyway..This too shall pass,”Cheruyoit stated.

The National Senate Majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen has echoed Cheruyoit sentiments.
The Elgeyo Marakwet Senator has argued that the authenticity of the allegations is more important than a letter.
“Arrest of Dennis Itumbi is a strategy to divert attention from the La Mada meeting&plan.Was there a meeting?Did PS in charge of DCI say Ruto must be stopped Saitoti way?Who complained about assassination?And to who?The authenticity of the allegations is more important than a letter,”Kipchumba claimed.

However Nyeri Town MP Wambugu Ngunjiri has faulted team Tangatanga for attacking DCI Kinoti following the arrest of Dennis Itumbi.
Ngunjiri hitting back to Murkomen has told him to keep quite and watch while DCI gets to the bottom of the assassination claim.
“Why do you sound like you know why Itumbi was arrested for, Mheshimiwa? Why not let DCI/FBI tell us, what is happening? Infact i would actually advise you to keep quiet and watch like the rest of us, unless you are a party to this story,” Ngunjiri retorted.

Ngunjiri has also blasted Senator Cheruyoit for being one-sided, choosing to believe that Mt.Kenya MP Met to plan to assassinate Ruto while on the other hand fail to believe that the controversial letter containing details of the assassination plot was faked.
“Yaani you would prefer we believe that 4 CSs from Mt Kenya met to plan to kill DP Ruto; than to believe that Itumbi could have written the fake letter suggesting that CSs were meeting to discuss Ruto’s assassination? Lakini nyinyi watu wa tangatanga mnabeba wakenya vibaya sana!” Wambugu Ngunjiri exclaimed.
