Kenyan Premier League giants Gor Mahia have revamped their squad with five more signings a few days after promoting three youth team players into senior ranks. The team began by filling the gap of the assistant coach which was left in early June when Zedekiah Otieno resigned for a new challenge.

K’Ogalo then hired Patrick Odhiambo as their new assistant coach. Odhiambo is the immediate former Sony Sugar head coach and joins the club’s esteemed technical unit on a two-year contract. The new Gor assistant coach did not come by himself as he has been followed to the club by two of his players from the Millers’ camp.

Kenya U23 midfielder Tobias Otieno has joined the Kenyan giants from the Sugar-belt side. The 20-year-old led in assists at Sony Sugar last season with nine passes leading to goals. Otieno hopes to replicate and exceed his impressive statistics in the course of his one-year renewable contract at K’Ogalo.

To fortify their defense, the 3 times three-peat winners again raided Sony Sugar for their right back, Abadalla Shira, who has penned down a four-year contract. The club has also signed Nzoia Sugar centre-back, Elvis Ronack. The 24-year-old will also be in the club for the next four years.

Gor has also raided  National Super League side Nairobi Stima for two forwards; Dennis Oalo and Curtis Wekesa. Oalo was his club’s talisman and the top scorer in the National Super League during the 2018-19 season. The 23-year-old scored twenty-four times during the regular period and added two more in the playoffs.
