Kenyans have identified the real reason why Harambee Stars striker Michael Olunga faced a torrid moment on Monday night against Senegal. The Kenyan side was thrashed 3-0 in their final group C match in a game that turned one-sided in the second half.

Harambee Stars began the match on a high note and remained resilient to the Lions of Teranga throughout the first half but things turned around in the second half and Migne’s boys were forced to concede three goals.

Unlike Tanzania clash, Kenya’s striking force was not impressive as they only managed two shots on target. In fact, Senegal invaded Harambee Stars’ half and played most of their time looking to score more goals.

Apart from Kenya’s weak defense that allowed the three goals, fans were quick to identify the major problem that was at the striking force.

Samuel Otieno I wish the coach was brave enough to introduce a second striker to partner Olunga. The Senegalese defenders are now playing as strikers.

Njung’e Peter Yeah they are really exhausting him, ona ata ameumia

Mercy Sino Sure… We are defending well but not attacking to compensate, Olunga needs a partner

Archer Arnold Johanna is the man missing. Kwani huyu kocha atumii akili.😡😡😡😡

Vetto Oliver The problem is with the person who was given that role of playing behind the striker.

Musah K’owiti Oliech would have been the best partner to Olunga, any day any time

Cahbu De Palmer Nice observation, he needs a partner upfront

James Nyamanga He very much isolated

Harambee Stars will be waiting for the outcome of group E and F to know whether they will be proceeding to the next round as one of the best four third-placed teams.
