Kenyan Premier League giants, AFC Leopards have completed the signing of Burundian holding midfielder Tresor Ndikumana as they begin rebuilding ahead of 2019/20 season.

The Burundian international has penned a two-year deal with Ingwe after weeks of negotiations. He has joined the club from Rwandan side, Amagajju FC where he scored ten goals in the just concluded Rwandan Premier League season.

Tsuma Said is the only holding midfielder currently in Ingwe’s books following the departure of Ezekiel Seda and Ndikumana is expected to fight for that holding midfield role with the former Thika United man.

A source from Den has revealed to Opera News that the midfielder was roped in on recommendation of head coach Andre Casa Mbungo whom he worked with in the Rwandan Premier League.

“I can confirm that Ndikumana signed a deal with AFC Leopards a few days ago. He is an experienced player who the coach believes will beef up the team. He has played for Burundi national team and this shows that he is a quality player,” an official of the club who spoke on condition of anonymity told Opera News.

Ingwe is expected to beef up its playing unit by acquiring the services of ten new players.
