Deputy President William Ruto is a man under fire for the remarks he made against the ‘People’s President’ Raila Odinga on Monday.
The obviously agitated Deputy President while touring Nyamira County described Raila has the Lord of poverty who does not have any positive development agenda for the people of Kenya.
“You are the Lord of Poverty and we will destroy your Kingdom with policies that uplift the poor and progress the Nation,” he Said.
Ruto lushed out that Raila has always been against all development agenda by the government so that he can continue getting support from the poor Kenyans.
“You were against the Euro bond, SGR and now church contributions, but it is because you are the Lord of poverty. We will work day and night to ensure that your kingdom of poverty has no place in Kenya,” read part of Ruto speech.

Ruto’s remarks have caused an uproar online with a section of netizens bashing the DP for trying to seek sympathy from Kenyans and divert attention following a failed assassination allegations plot.
This is to divert our attention from the fake assassination later. #TheHighPriestOfCorruption

One Kisaka Moto tweeted;
“Where are the stadiums? Raila has never been President so why compare him to WSR?”
Here is how a section of Kenyans reacted;

If only he had spent just a fraction of this energy delivering on his litany of “in 3 months time” promises among other things since 2013 pic.twitter.com/3fV8Jsgw2g

I just do not understand how a government office and a DP for that matter keeps promising us what he will do… I though that is his current mandate… what has he done… He should shut up and let the actions of the government speak for him…if they can…

I bet it’s difficult when playing in a game with the story of him being the High Priest of Corruption and Arap Mashamba and so on. Nametags everywhere. It’s all we chase.

It’s either @WilliamsRuto is desperate or he doesn’t have Strategy.Raila has been Politically bashed from the early 90s.Poverty isn’t a consideration at the voting booth and the “Uhuru”2017 Strategy won’t work for 2022 Elections. @kipmurkomen
