Former PS Admits to theft though from his enemies only

The fight against graft has always been the symphony in most top leaders of the country led by President Uhuru Kenyatta himself.

No one has ever come out to confess of siphoning public property except for the Former Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Education Dr. Richard Lesiyampe.

Lesiyampe has admitted to theft of public property.However He has admitted that he only stole from his enemies.

The Former PS has been on the radar of Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission for quite some time. He was linked to the irregular purchase of maize worth Ksh.11billion.

The controversial Richard Lesiyampe was also on the spot over the loss of a government vehicle and supply of tree seedlings worth Sh40 million.

Dr Lesiyampe’s official vehicle registration number GK A152Q valued at Sh5.46 million was reported lost at Mlolongo in Machakos County under unclear circumstances in August 2013.

The PS has since been surrounded by various cases of corruption but finally he has come out clean to admit of his act of thievery.
