To most people, he is called the Super CS or Chief Minister. Yes Fred Matiang’i is the face of the Jubilee government. He is loved by most people because of his approach to issues. So are Kenyans ready to trust him with the top seat in 2022?

The latest media reports have indicated that Matiang’i has been making frequent visits to his home counties of Gusiiland. When invited to speak at different functions, he would always urge the Kisii community to unite and speak in one voice. It is believed the CS harbors Presidential ambitions.

Hundreds of jobs will be lost when non-performing public universities are closed, but the exercise will be done in a civilised manner.

The closure of the yet to be named universities is meant to improve the quality of education.

The remaining institutions will be producing graduates ready for the demanding market, Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha said.
