Jubilee Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju has refused to comment on the calls to resign or clarify about the leaked recording, but suggested the tape was manipulated.
In the recording,Tuju and former MP Gorge Nyanja are heard discussing about the Kiambaa Church issue. In their discussions, they were heard discussing on how they will revive the MP to destroy Deputy President Dr William Ruto’s journey to Statehouse.

Jubilee MPs on the other hand have vowed to suspend their monthly contributions to the party until Tuju resigns. But will it happen?
Jubilee MPs vow to suspend their monthly contributions to the party until its Sec General Raphael Tuju resigns… media has not said if they have consulted Jubilee party leader @Uhurukenyatta. I guess they forgot that once there was PNU/NARC that died after general elections.

Tuju has hence remained silent on the matter. He says he is outside the country and will be available for a live TV interview as soon as possible to reduce the risk of being misquoted to add to the drama or to be recorded, then subjected to ‘deep-fake editing’ to convey a different meaning.
He further notes that he would welcome the opportunity to speak substance and truth and not just give a sound bite in response to party members who have talked in rallies.
Raphael Tuju is not a saint, he should be stopped from mocking a church of God. He should resign for dragging DP Ruto name in Kiambaa church killings. Baba was the person who called for Mass action, he was the center of all the 2007 killingspic.twitter.com/YDQ76X4GEo

Former Jubilee Party Interim Vice Chairman has however told off the critics who are calling for Tuju’s resignation, rubbishing the claims by a section of Jubilee MPs.
