Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has come out to reveal why the Jubilee members are so upset with Raphael Tuju.

Speaking to a local TV station Senator Murkomen has stated that it is very wrong for Tuju to capitalize on 2007/2008 Post Election Violence to crucify DP Ruto.

The Party Secretary General recalled the Kiambaa Church Massacre to end Ruto’s political career with MP George Nyanja.

The Youths rampaged in the Rift Valley’s Kiambaa village , attacking the Kikuyu tribe of President Mwai Kibaki who was declared winner of a December 27 poll that critics say was rigged.

The mob shut dozens in a church, blocked the door with a mattress and set the church on fire, residents said.

Around 30 people burned to death while the attackers chased others into the surrounding fields, hacking at them with machetes.

Murkomen has qualified his argument claiming that Jubilee Party was formed to create a national outfit that is focused on developing this nation.

“One of the key indicators as to why Jubilee was formed, was to bring Kenyans together, end the cycle of violence and create a national outfit that is focused on developing this nation,”stated Murkomen.

Furthermore Kipchumba Murkomen has claimed that the whole Party should not suffer just because of one person instead they should constitute a mechanism to punish the officials.

“I do not think we should punish the whole party because of one individual; I truly appreciate and understand the concerns of the members on how the party is being managed,” Murkomen insisted.

Senator Murkomen has stated that the President should whip Tuju just like he whipped David Murathe who was the Deputy Party leader.

“I believe that the Presidents will also whip Tuju given the petitions from the members,” Senator retorted.

The other legislators cited an audio clip doing rounds on social media, featuring voices suspected to be those of Tuju and Kiambu politician George Nyanja.

“We want you to come out and disown that video, failure to do that we will confirm that the President, his deputy and members have no issues…the problem is with the party officials…,” said Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot.

“We cannot have a Secretary General who betrays the very government we have formed…you must immediately tender your resignation to the President and let the party pick someone else…,” said Kandara Mp- Alice Wahome.”
