Murathe: A thief will not succeed Uhuru

By now, we all know that DP William Ruto’s journey to statehouse is going to be narrow and bumpy. Making it hard for him is former Jubilee Vice Chair David Murathe, who has tasked himself with ensuring that the hustler does not become President.

On Sunday, Murathe insisted that President Uhuru Kenyatta will not allow a thief to lead this country.

“I know one thing for a fact that: Uhuru will not leave the country to thieves and a thief will not rule after him because Uhuru is not a thief,” he said.

Sonko Comes to the Rescue of Casual Workers

There is nothing as bad as working as a volunteer in government but when jobs arise are given to other people. That is the reality in these county governments, talk of devolved impunity.

But things might soon change, for casual workers and volunteers in Nairobi county. Governor Mike Sonko has promised to prioritise this group of people when hiring in the next financial year.

The new County Public Service Board gazetted on Thursday will spearhead the immediate employment of 267 nurses, 160 clinical officers, 101 medical officers, and 50 ambulance drivers.

Uriri Boys Students Torch Dorm Over Afcon

The Afcon fever took over the country on Sunday, ahead of Kenya’s match against Algeria. The administration of Uriri High School in Homa Bay County decided that the students did not deserve to watch the match. The students decided to torch one of their hostels. Talk of two wrongs can’t make a right. Harambee Stars lost the match anyway.
