Uganda Cranes has offered a strong response to the visibly tough group A in AFCON 2019 by making intentions known.

The East Africa football giants have named a strong team to face neighbours DRC in their group opener on Saturday 22nd June.

Africa ‘one’ Denis Onyango stands tall between the posts with former Gor Mahia man  Godfrey Walusimbi leading the defence manners.

Sensational Hassan Wasswa, Emmanuel Okwi and Khalid Aucho have also made it to the list that seeks to register an win in opener to follow in the hosts path.

Cranes are pooled against hosts, Egypt, Democratic Republic of Congo and giant slayers, Zimbabwe.

The team did not make it out of the group stage during the 2017 edition that was staged in Gabon and coach Sebastien Desabre will be keen on achieving what his predecessor Milutin Sredojević failed to.
