Nairobi Women Rep Esther Passsaris has lately been making headlines for all controversial reasons. And now like the majority of Kenyan women, Passaris has proved to be so clueless on the ongoing AFCON championship.
On Saturday, Passaris caused a stir online after referring to Zimbabwe as a host nation for the AFCON 2019 while the matches were taking place in Egypt.
Answering a fan’s question on the team she was supporting since she is a soccer fan, Passaris responded,
“Hmmmm Zimbabwe as the host Nation will have ground support. Having said that they are all winners but only one will emerge at the top #AFCON2019 and my prayer and dream is for #HarambeeStars #Tunaweza #Twendekazi.”
The embarrassing football blunder has since caused abuzz in the social media with some netizens ambushing her for trying to thrive in petty controversies.
It is just a day before that the Women Reps very huge handbag caused ‘panic’ in the parliamentary buildings with the Majority leader Aden Duale informing the speaker that with the terror attacks that have rocked the country in recent times the house was not safe with Passaris bag around.
“Mr. Speaker Hon. Esther Passaris is carrying a huge bag on her back. We are not safe here. That is not a ladies’ handbag.’ Duale said”.
Parliament minority leader John Mbadi asked speaker Justin Muturi to clarify the kind of bags that MPs should carry to the house. ‘We need to be clear on which kind of bags one should bring to the house. One day I might come with a huge bag on my head.’
Here is what Kenyans had to say about her football blunder;
