Miguna through his twitter account acknowledged Waiguru’s wedding set for July 13, 2019 and went ahead to congratulate her and sarcastically ordering the change of venue from the proposed Kiamugumo Primary school in Kirinyaga to Kamiti Maximum Prison.

This is not the first time the vocal lawyer is launching a scathing ‘attack’ on the former Devolution Cabinet Secretary. In 2018, Miguna attacked Waiguru saying that she was one Kenyan who should never speak of the fight against corruption and in the process branding her as Miss Impunity.

Miguna was reacting to the loss of Sh791 million at the National Youth Service when Miss Waiguru was CS.

On Wednesday, the public was greeted to the unexpected announcement informing them of an incoming wedding ceremony between the famous governor and Mr. Waiganjo. The two got engaged in an invite-only party held at Lord Erroll Hotel in Nairobi early this year after dating for a couple of years.

The traditional ceremony according to the Kikuyu customs is called Ngurario. Ngurario which is the final part of the Kikuyu wedding is always an A must requirement to formalize the marriage under the Gikuyu rites.

According to this custom,  one woman has the “value” of 99 goats. The groom’s parents can keep one goat and that way have the base for the new flock. In practice, the groom’s family can give money instead of animals.

On the wedding day the groom, his parents and other people accompanying arrive at the bride’s home. But they are not allowed to enter the house. After being accepted and welcomed into the home, the groom has to ritually cut the goat meat prepared for the occasion.

He should then share the meat with some of his and bride’s family member. The groom also has to answer a couple of question asked by the representative of the bride’s family.

Despite Miguna’s sarcastic sentiments on Waiguru’s wedding, a section of Kenyans congratulated her and wishing her all the best as she starts her marriage life. Here are a few of the reactions;
