The former Prime Minister is expected to also grace the Opening Ceremony of the biennial event but it is still not clear whether he will be present during Harambee Stars matches. Harambee Stars are pooled against Algeria, Senegal and East Africa neighbors Tanzania.
The visit was however not met with applause from the superstitious Kenyan public…
Nyinyi ndo mmeipa team nuksi mbovu taking the ever jinxed Raila to visit the boys even before they played the first game. This was unwise. Huyu mzee should've been avoided like a plague. Sasa more maombi needed to cleanse the boys.

The team has never made it past the first round on 5 previous attempts but with has some of the finest talents the country has ever produced. Tottenham Hotspur midfielder is the brightest of them alongside Micheal Olunga and the speedy Ayub Timbe Masika. The mood going into the tournament is a positive one with players having spent 19 days at a training camp in France.
