Government to Scrap Permanent Jobs

Stephen Kirogo, the chairman of the Public Service Commission and Commissioner John Monyoncho launch the Public Sector Wage Bill Study report done by the SRC. [Standard]
Nearly 30,000 jobs will soon be up for grabs in the Civil Service, but there is a catch: All new employees will be on contract terms.

The shift to three-year contracts in the 66,000-strong public service is intended to gradually replace the aging workforce as well as to address performance concerns.

Moses Kuria For President?

Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has insisted that his presidential ambitions for the 2022 general elections remain alive.

Speaking on Tuesday, the lawmaker who has repeatedly declared his bid to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta noted that he will stick to his declaration and ultimately vie for the seat.

Uhuru and Raila to Counter Ruto’s Countrywide Tours

After Sunday’s public outburst at Kasarani Stadium, President Uhuru Kenyatta is set to make headlines again when he embarks on a nationwide tour with his brother Raila Odinga. Insiders believe the tours are meant to counter Deputy President William Ruto’s Tanga Tanga trips.

UhuRaila will be preaching development and national cohesion. They will also market their handshake in which they buried the hatchet after the disputed presidential election.
