President Uhuru Kenyatta’s public outburst at Kasarani on Sunday is still eliciting reactions across the political divide especially from a section of Mt.Kenya leaders who pay deep allegiance to Deputy President William Ruto.
Controversial Kandara MP Alice Wahome who attacked the President for misusing the altar at the advantage of his political interests on Monday is at it again.
“It is unfortunate that the President can stand on a religious podium and speak such words to his people,” Wahome urgued.
Wahome now claims that it is impossible for MPS allied to Ruto to stop politicking because the President will not be running come 2022.
Speaking during an interview on Tuesday, the legislator defended the MPs for taking early politics the expense of development claiming that early politicking does not affect the country’s development in any way since MPs do not implement projects.
Alice Wahome: We cannot be told to stop doing politics because the President will not be running come 2022
Zindzi: At the cost of development of this nation?
Alice: There is no cost of development because an MP does not implement projects #DayBreak@WaihigaMwaura@Zindzi_K pic.twitter.com/QZRDt1NopM

Asked if Uhuru has failed to take charge of the Jubilee Party the Mt. Kenya MP said, ” The governance of a country is as good as the political party which is governing/ managing that country. The gov’t is supposed to lobby Members of Parliament and convince them about the agenda the gov’t has.”

Wahome is not the only politician allied Ruto who has publicly defied Uhuru’s outburst, speaking separately on Monday, the MPs have rubbished Uhuru’s attack directed to them, with some accusing him of failing to take charge in Jubilee party.
