Hasty Juventus determined to make Ronaldo’s wish about De Ligt come true

Juventus have insisted on their serious search for the signature of young Ajax captain Matthijs de Ligt after their sensational star Cristiano Ronaldo did his job of Marketing the club to the Dutchman.

All this started after the Nations League final match between Portugal and Netherlands when Ronaldo threw a glimpse to De Ligt, welcoming him to sign for De Ligt.

Since then, Juventus have taken it up to bring the whole matter to a completion and bring the Dutchman to Italy.

The Italian giants appeared to be out of the running to secure the Dutch teenager’s services after a stand-out season for his boyhood club Ajax.

The Spanish giants Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, Liverpool are some of the teams that have been salivating for the signature of the 19-year-old.

But Juventus looked to be out of the running after De Ligt’s agent Mino Raiola was hit with a ban by the Italian FA.

That would have prevented the super-agent from dealing with any Italian club, dashing hopes of bringing De Ligt to Turin.

But the ban has been overturned following Raiola’s successful appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Now Juve legend and current Vice Chairman Pavel Nedved is reported to have personally taken over the negotiations with Raiola.

The two are set to meet in Monaco to discuss terms on a potential offer, with the 19-year-old De Ligt being valued at upwards of £60 million.

De Ligt had reported that he will be making his final transfer decision after he is back from vacation where he is currently at with his girlfriend.

What next?

Mino Raiola held the same meeting with Barcelona and all will be waiting to hear the final decision from the defender when he comes back from vacation.
