The central midfielder has been out of action since March 2019 when he picked the injury during a league match against Bandari and Mbaraki Sports Club in Mombasa.

He has been undergoing treatment ever since but the club has now announced that the Kakamega High School alumnus has opted to end his playing career by terminating his contract with the club.

“Ezekiel Seda has terminated his contract with the club. This is due to a knee injury he sustained in a KPL match vs Bandari FC in Mombasa,” the club said in a statement.

Seda first joined AFC Leopards in 2011 from Kakamega High School. His first stint ended in June 2015 when he decamped to Mathare United owing to Leopards’ sorry financial state. He returned to the club in June 2018, but his second coming was less successful due to numerous injuries.

The player says he had opted to venture into other things due to the injury but revealed that it was a difficult decision to make.

“This is the has been the hardest to make, this injury has led me to consider my playing career and I have come to a conclusion that at this point I would wish to put an end to my playing career and pursue other ventures,” he said.

Seda went on to thank the club for giving him an opportunity to turn out for the side and for standing by him during his second injury-plagued stint.
