Raila Odinga Junior has congratulated Anglican Church of Kenya, through its Archbishop Jackson Ole Sapit by banning donations made to the church by politicians saying they will only accept offerings.
Raila Junior has expressed confidence on how the Church leaders have started employing high levels of reasoning in curbing politics in the pulpit.
“Finally the sense of reason is coming into play as the clergy are now acutely aware that in many instances these donations are being used as an excuse to greet the flock and abuse the time allocated,” Stated Raila Junior.

Ole Sapit directed that all churches must not allow politicians to use the pulpit to settle scores.
He faulted the manner in which politicians have held the church hostage by use of their huge donations.
Some other people have translated Bishop Ole Sapit’s ban on church donations as an action to tame the Deputy President William Ruto who has established himself as a top politician leading donations.
The debate on politicians feeding the churches with the dirty money has been on the public limelight for quite sometime now.
ODM legislature John Mbadi also tabled a Bill in Parliament which seeks to tame Church Donations. In his Bill Mbadi stated that any politicians who donates more than ksh.100,000 should seek approval from Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission(EACC).
