It is on rare occasions that President Uhuru Kenyatta would go open in public about his religion.
In a viral video, the president is seen leading prayer in an unspecified event while surrounded by other political leaders including Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja, a move that has marvelled many Kenyans.
In the video that was shared by Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, the President is heard praying for peace unity and journey mercies and wellness of each Kenyan.
Kenyans went on to praise the Head of State for acknowledging God in his leadership.
Last month Uhuru worshipped with Muslims at Jamia mosque during the Iftar prayers on Thursday, May, 30. In a video that surfaced online showed the Head of State donned in Muslim attire and faithfully holding prayers with the worshipers at the mosque where he hold salatul maghrib prayers .
The President used the occasion to call for unity and peaceful coexistence among Kenyans regardless of their political or religious backgrounds.
He called upon religious leaders to help his administration in dealing with extremist groups and criminal gangs that hide under religion to cause mayhem.
