Radio siren and super host Adelle Onyango has surprised many fans by announcing her exit from the radio station that introduced her to the world.
She announced the news early Saturday morning on her Instagram.
Posting a cute video collage of the time she spent there and some of the amazing people she got to work with like Shaffie Weru as well as memorable interviews including Mr. Eazi and Vanessa Mdee, she paired it with a long emotional caption that read:
Yesterday I had my last breakfast radio show with Kiss FM. It’s been a decision that I did not come to lightly. After 7 years on Kiss, I need a new challenge. Change is the only constant thing in life, and it is through endings that we begin anew.
In leaving Kiss I have a whole lot of thoughts:
To my coworkers, my bosses
To anyone who tuned in,
to TeamADELLE I say thank you!
As for the future, I say CHEERS …
Here’s to everyone starting a new,
here’s to everyone believing,
here’s to everyone evolving,
here’s to everyone who wants to make a difference,
here’s to the unknown,
here’s to the darkness and the light, here’s to forgiveness and all that we fight,
here’s to the stories that no one knows,
here’s to the endings and all the foes.
To those that gave us opportunity we say thank you, to those that grew us we say we love you, to those that believed in us, we say keep believing, to those that root for us, keep rooting.

Yesterday she hinted on the departure saying she finally did it after 3 years of wanting to and not getting the guts to.
Adelle Onyango hosted one of the most popular urban radio breakfast shows, a job she initially got handed after Kalekye Mumos controversial departure from the show.
She was also named as one of BBC’s 100 Most Influential Women in 2017, a big title she truly deserves for all the good work she does advocating for self love and confidence.
She has truly inspired many during her time on Kiss FM. Many fans have flooded her timeline with goodbye messages.
