Raila Makes Boss Moves In Russia

AU High Envoy for Infrastructure Raila Odinga has lately cut the figure of a certified International Traveller as he continues to visit different parts of the world to discharge his duties as Africa’s head of Infrastructure or in some instances to share his wisdom with the rest of the world.

Raila is currently in Russia for the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) which kicked off on Thursday in Russia under the theme “Creating a Sustainable Development Agenda” and with the participation of representatives of 140 countries.

Raila joined the Russia- Africa panel where he stressed the need for more investment in energy and infrastructure on the continent which shall lead to increased benefits between Russia and African states.

Posting on his Facebook event, Raila said;

“Joined the Russia- Africa panel at the #SPIEF2019and stated the fact that our continent continues to solidify its position as one of the centers of global economic growth in recent years. I stressed on the need for more investment in energy and infrastructure on the continent which shall lead to increased benefits between Russia and African states.”

On Sunday, Raila was in London where he gave a lecture on the late Kofi Annan’s legacy.

In the UK, Raila was received by the Kenya’s High Commissioner Manoah Esipisu, who served as State House spokesperson, prior to his appointment.

At Chatham House, Odinga met Annan’s son Kojo Annan, and his wife Shanthi.
