“Raila should be declared a threat to National security”

Since ODM leader Raila Odinga entered into a political truce with President Uhuru Kenyatta through the March 9, 2018 handshake, things have never been the same in Deputy President Dr William Ruto’s camp.

Ruto was the first one to express his fear against Raila when he claimed that the NASA leader had followed him to Jubilee to chase him out of the party the same way he had done to him while in ODM Party.

His allies then followed, arguing that the African Union envoy was wrecking Jubilee Party. Blame games later emerged, pitting the differences within Jubilee Party, leading to emergence of two factions, the Kieleweke and Tanga tanga.

Kieleweke team preaches President Kenyatta’s gospel whereas the tanga tanga team dances to Ruto’s tune.

The tanga tanga team have now made Raila their greatest enemy. Just recently, they were demanding for his interrogation following the fake gold syndicate where Raila’s name was greatly mentioned.

At the moment, Kimili Constituency Member of Parliament Hon Didmus Barasa, a close ally of DP Ruto is saying that Raila should be declared a threat to National Security.

The lawmaker argues that he has received a petition from Kenya’s businesspeople. He says the businesspeople claim their business is always affected every election period.

He says he will be taking the petition to the National Assembly so that Raila can be declared a threat to National Security so as to prevent any violence should Ruto win 2022 presidential elections.
