The Genesis of Governor Mike Sonko and Nairobi Women Representative erupted during the Madaraka Day Celebrations.
Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko publicly bashed Woman Representative Esther Passaris for making ‘numerous’ phone calls to him.
Speaking at Pumwani Police Grounds on Saturday during Madaraka Day celebrations, Passaris had said she had been trying to reach Sonko but he had been dodging her calls.
Responding to the claims, Sonko said he would answer her calls when he is free, adding he was a busy man.
“Iam not your husband that I should answer to your calls anytime you want. Let us respect one another. Even President Uhuru Kenyatta does not respond to my calls every time,” he said.

But it did not end at that. Governor Sonko has gone ahead to extend the humiliation by releasing an audio exposing Easter Passaris.
In the audio Passaris is heard begging for Ksh 500,000 from Mike Sonko. Governor Sonko agrees to Passaris request but with conditions of not dragging President Uhuru Kenyatta’s name in their campaigns.

In the audio conversation, Passaris paints Former Nairobi Governor as unsupportive and uses Hon Raila Odinga’s name to get the cash.
But Govermor Mike Sonko has been placed under harsh critisicms following his leaked phone conversation.
Hon Moses Kuria has told the people of Nairobi to persevere with that package as they voted for him in large numbers.

Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo has also accused Sonko of getting himself in an unfortunate habit.
Otiende Amollo on Sonko- Passaris leaked audio: The Nairobi governor is getting into a very interesting and unfortunate habit. It is an unfortunate trait when people fear talking to you as a leader because anything they say might be recorded #DayBreak@TrevorOmbija @Zindzi_K pic.twitter.com/zsR9rBj9Oc
