As 2022 approaches, political realignment has already started taking place.
Deputy President William Ruto who is a major player in the elections has been given an assurance ahead of 2022 polls in Nyamira.
On his trip to Nyamira on Friday, Ruto must have made an impact in his presidential bid where a number of leaders have now fronted their support for his 2022 elections.
Kitutu Masaba MP Shadrack Mose leading other leaders accused a clique of individuals of frustrating Tangatanga leaders in their bid to back the DP.
The first time MP claimed that unmentioned people were keen to block them from supporting DP William Ruto.
Coincidentally, his claims came after it emerged that Nyamira County Commissioner Amos Mariba and his entire team snubbed the DP’s trip.
“We shall follow you even to the bushes. There are those who are blocking and intimidating us because we are supporting you but I want to assure them that we will not relent,” he said.
He took a swipe at the provincial administration officials, accusing them of being used by some powerful people to frustrate the DP from ascending to power.

While in Nyamira, Ruto said that leaders who mind about development will change Nyamira, not cheap rhetoric. Mr Ruto launched various development projects and presided over fundraisers.
He laid a foundation stone for Nyagesa Teacher’s Training College, opened the West Mugirango CDF office, led fundraisers at St Joseph Nyamira Catholic Church, Nyamagwa Girls Secondary School and SDA churches in Borabu constituency.
Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang’i cancelled his Friday’s trip to Nyamira which coincided with that of Dr Ruto. It’s now clear why he called off the trip.
The powerful minister is said to be at loggerheads with the DP even though he has remained mum about it. He ceased to attend Dr Ruto’s rallies.
