Police issue another terror threat after Madaraka Day scare

Just a day after a terror suspect was arrested at the Narok Stadium during Madaraka Day celebrations, police have issues yet another terror threat.

According to authorities, there is a security threat on Lamu’s border with Somalia, calling for the ban of fishing activities in the area.

The ban was issued by Lamu County Commissioner Joseph Kanyiri.

This is as the area has severally been on the spot over deadly terror attacks.

The attacks that took place in 2014 left a deep wound among residents, killing over 20 and displacing hundreds.

According to a Daily Nation report as of February 2019, at least 300 people who were displaced are still camping at Katsaka Kairu three years after they were uprooted from their homes.
