Gatundu South Member of Parliament Hon Moses Kuria has condemned the use of ‘KamataKamata Fridays’ which has been a special tactic of DPP,EACC and DCI.
Hon Moses Kuria has come up to state how the tactic is not working in the fight to root out corruption in the country.
Just the other day, The Council of Governors through their Chairperson Wycliffe Oparanya were calling for Honourable Arrests.
Their demand for Honourable arrest come after the arrest of Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu and his daughter Monica Njeri.
But Moses Kuria has argued that the use of ‘kamatakamata Friday’ is not working.
But Hon Moses Kuria has endorsed the role out of the new notes saying it will work in rooting out corruption in the country.
“The new currency is going to have a far much better impact in the fight against corruption than all the other drama we have been having with ‘kamatakamata Fridays,” Hon Kuria stated.

But the Central Bank of Kenya has also come out to rubbish claims that they did not follow the right constitutional procedure in unveiling the new notes.

Rarieda MP Otiende Omollo stated that the whole process was unconstitutional especially having the image of the late President Jomo Kenyatta.
Otiende Amollo: The major issue is the image of the new notes; Article 231 is very clear and does not allow anyone’s portrait on the face of the notes or coins.

While ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi has warned the nation against money laundering especially after the government announced the order to withdraw Ksh 1000 notes.
