After a frankly turbulent season, Manchester United have been on the go to revamp their squad for a better result in the next season.
United were dealt a blow by their poor form this past season and was arguably their worst season ever.
The Red Devils failed to lift any trophy and worse of all, failed to finish in the top-four position, meaning that they won’t be featuring in the Champions League next season.
To add hot coal on open wounds, several players like Paul Pogba, Ander Herrera among others have demanded to leave Old Trafford this summer.
However, United’s number one goalkeeper David De Gea has had an exceptional case where he might leave Old Trafford due to disagreement about his contract extension.
De Gea have been demanding 400 euros a week pay, a thing that United have been reluctant on and yet De Gea’s contract is set to expire in summer 2020.
And according to reports, the Spanish international will be leaving soon if the contract is not extended.
For that reason, Manchester United have been looking for a perfect replacement of the keeper. United have, in the past, spotted Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana but were denied his signature.
And now, Solskjaer has identified AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and fans have overwhelmingly supported the move to approach the keeper.
The 20-year-old could cost as much as €60m (£53m) with the Italian international being lined up as a possible replacement for David De Gea.
A lot of fans on Twitter think Donnarumma has the quality to be United’s number one:
This would actually be a very good signing if Dave decides to move on.

only keeper worth signing to replace the best ever keeper. otherwise, romero for a season, focus on outfield holes in the squad and bring back henderson to be #1 after a season in the prem if he has a season as good as last season in the championship.

Would be a good signing as a replacement for De Gea if he leaves.

Hope this is true. Miles better than that Ajax keeper.

What next?
All eyes are waiting to see if United will make a move to approach the AC Millan goalkeeper and whether they will pay the offer.
