Mixed martial sports and Irish star, Conor McGregor has faced the wrath of his supporters and those of Floyd Mayweather after he called out on the latter for a rematch on Twitter which fans think the star is just after another payday.
On a huge night for boxing, the Notorious took to social media saying how much he missed the sport just hours before Andy Ruiz Jr shocked the world by beating Briton and defending champion, Anthony Joshua.
McGregor laid down the gauntlet to his old foe.
He was also tweeting about his Irish compatriot Katie Taylor’s victory over Delfine Persoon when he made the dig at Floyd.
The 30-year-old tweeted: “Boxing is great, I am going to relish another go!
“I challenge Juan Manuel Mayweather to a rematch.
“Under the tutelage of my old club.
“We’ll see then mate.”

The pair met in August 2017 in a clash dubbed ‘The Money Fight’ and ‘The biggest fight in combat sports history’.
Mayweather, 42, won on a technical knockout in the 10th round and the pair earned a reported $400million between them.
Since then the Irishman lost to Khabib Nurmagomedov and fans think his latest claim is simply an attempt at an easy and less painful payday.
