Treason Award: Miguna gifts talented compatriot

The ex-Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant and exiled NRM general Miguna Miguna has awarded a talented streets woman a copy of his 1000 paged book for an artistic portrait.

The talented woman known as Nambuya has come into limelight after the public posted her stunning paintings on social media.

She had made classic paintings of prominent Kenyans at her open ‘office’ in Jeevanjee grounds Nairobi CBD.

The ever-spirited lawyer Dr Miguna Miguna on spotting this offered the amazing gift of a free copy of his latest publication – TREASON: The Case Against Tyrants & Renegades.

“Artist whose image appears below has won a free copy of TREASON: The Case Against Tyrants & Renegades for her originality and revolutionary CONSCIOUSNESS,” posted Miguna.

Nambuya who uses a pencil and other ordinary paints to produce the artistic works learnt her skills at a Gumbaru school.

Sitting on the ground, Nambuya displayed images of prominent people she has successfully drawn including pastor James Ng’ang’a, the founder of Neno evangelism, Gov Mike Sonko, DP William Ruto, President Uhuru Kenyatta, Dr Fred Matiang’i among others.

Her contact number – 0798449280 is also displayed among the frames for any willing person to help her.

Reacting to a Kenyan who opted to exchange Miguna’s award into money, the fury lawyer said that the public should refrain from thinking that the poor artiste cannot or do not appreciate reading.

“Just because you believe she is economically poor does not mean that she cannot read or does not appreciate reading. She has not asked you for money nor appealed to you to purchase the book from her. Buy your own copy, chief. Your offer is disrespectful,” responded Miguna.
