Authorities are digging the details surrounding the death of a Kenyan woman residing in Australia.

The woman identified as Jelagat Cheruiyot, a 34-year-old Mogotio-born Australian resident was reported missing seven days ago before her body was found in Osborne Park, Australia.

While her family reported that Jelagat had been missing for since Wednesday, police believe the lady had been missing for a long time after observing her dead body.

Witnesses told police they heard some argument at the spot where Jelagat’s body was found days before the Wednesday discovery.

Police are also casting their net wide after two vehicles linked to the building where Jelagat’s body was found went missing

“Police are asking for information to locate a blue 2007 Hyundai Getz hatchback, registration 1CMR900, and a 1995 blue Mitsubishi Coupe, registration 1BJP872, said a police statement.

In their report, police are also trying to piece up evidence on the last people to have talked to Jelagat and the nature of the communication they had.

“We are trying to put an exact time on the last time she was seen and its part of our investigation to speak to anyone who might have seen her, including people from work,” the statement continued.

This happens barely two months after the body of a Kenyan living in the United States was found washed up on the shores of a lake after he went missing.

Initial police reports revealed that the Kenyan may have been involved in a deal-gone-bad with criminals who had attacked a store and made away with undisclosed amount of money.
