Wetangula rubbishes threats,summons from DCI

Bungoma Senator Moses Masika Wetangula has come out to rubbish claims that DCI is on his neck.

Hon Wetangula jetted back in the country from Hong Kong silently where he represented the country in Corruption conference.

The senator has come out clean stating that he has not received any summons from the Director of Criminal Investigation George Kinoti.

In the audio conversation, Wetang’ula dropped the names of President Uhuru Kenyatta and Opposition chief Raila Odinga to assure a Dubai gold investor believed to be Ali Zandi that their detained consignment would be released.

Wetang’ula assured Zandi, a business associate of United Arab Emirates ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, that he had talked to Raila who in turn reached out to Uhuru to secure the release of the pricey containers.

But Wetangula has come out to term the debate as a non-issue. The Ford Kenya Party has also rubbished the allegations of Hon Wetangula being at the centre of the fake Gold Scandal.

The fake gold saga has since been politicized following Hon Raila Odinga’s confession.Raila said he was the one who warned Sheik Al Maktoum that they were being duped.

The ODM leader said he quickly discovered the person who posed as Matiang’i in a phone call with the Dubai buyer was a fake.

In the same tone he defended CS Fred Matiang’i stating that he was not involved in the fake gold saga in any way whatsoever.

Hon Raila’s confession has elicited a lot of reactions. The Deputy President William Ruto claimed he negotiated for his AU appointment asking the former premier to focus on his job.
