Buzeki Calls for Massive Exodus from Jubilee as Elders Endorse him Keiyo Leader

Former Uasin Gishu gubernatorial aspirant Bundotich Zedekiah aka Buzeki has called on Kenyans who are still supporting Jubilee party to ditch the party saying that Jubilee led by Uhuru Kenyatta has failed Kenyans on its 2017 promises.

Buzeki who was speaking on Kass FM and Kass TV morning Talk Show on Tuesday said that Uhuru and Ruto had failed in the fight against corruption with the high rate of unemployment and high cost of living among many Kenyans.

Buzeki said that most of the promises that were given are yet to be realized by the government. He also took a swipe at both the ‘Kieleweke’ and ‘Tanga-tanga’ factions, insisting that early campaigns are a manifestation that Jubilee leaders cheated Kenyans on their manifesto.

“We were conned that after re-electing Jubilee they would work day and night to deliver on their 2013/2017 pledges. Hot air!!, instead they have split to ‘Kieleweke’ and ‘Tangatanga’ which was not part of the deal. Ditch Jubilee! Nothing to lose! Salvage BIG 4 & Save face.” he said

Buzeki dumped William Ruto’s Tanga tanga movement in March after alledging frustrations from some of Ruto’s allies whom he said are out to destroy his 2022 ambitions of taking over as Uasin Gishu county governor after Mandago’s retirement.

Buzeki also fired salvos at the DP’s men, particularly Farouk Kibet, Ruto’s indefatigable ‘Mr Fixit’, who controls whoever sees him. Buzeki sensationally accused Farouk in a viral video of being a ‘tax-collector’, demanding bribes from whoever wishes to see the DP.

Despite his explanations on why he decamped to CCM, Analysts are puzzled at what informed the decision when in fact he had in the past worked well with the DP and only narrowly lost the Jubilee nominations to Mandago.

Some say that if he had stuck with the DP’s party, the Jubilee nominations were his to lose. Without a presidential candidate and a national outlook, CCM may not raise enough of a storm to sweep Buzeki into office, particularly when Ruto will be the presidential candidate who must win in his own backyard.

Despite this, Buzeki has so far received a major boost after a section of the Kalenjin elders drawn from both Nandi and the Keiyo sub-communities endorsed his move to CCM saying that the candidate still had the community’s support despite the move. He currently plays the role of party’s General Secretary in CCM.

The Elders drawn from Keiyo sub-community also installed Buzeki as their community’s spokesman. The last Keiyo spokesman was Nicholas Biwott who died in July 2017. He was arguably the most powerful man in former President Moi’s presidency.

Buzeki told the elders at Kaptagat farm in Uasin Gishu county that his decision to join Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) was irreversible.
