Time supposedly heals all wounds—but when it comes to the deep cut of a broken heart, it often feels like time stands still.

Tanzanian singer Vanessa Mdee has seemingly come out to express her emotions following reports of her break-up with longtime lover and fellow musician Juma Jux.

Taking to Twitter, the Niroge hitmaker acknowledged that she feels lonely and defeated, adding that she has – on numerous occasions – shed a few tears and gone without food.

“I still feel alone and like (EXPLETIVE). This is not a cry for attention, this is for you to understand we all go through it. No shame. You’re allowed to feel everything and be affected by it too… give yourself an allowance,” wrote the former MTV host.

“Tomorrow I am going to be back on my (EXPLETIVE) and this will just be a low. Life is filled with highs and lows, sorry if I ever made you feel like I didn’t have these moments and that pressured you into believing that your life wasn’t ‘perfect’. You’re extraordinary.”

Reports of  Mdee and Jux’s split has made rounds on the internet for the past couple of weeks with neither of them confirming or denying the claims.

The lovebirds were rumored to be on bad terms about a month ago when the Utaniua star posted a video on his Instagram page of a lady by the name Julitha singing along to his song In case You Don’t Know featuring Kenyan musician Nyashinski.
