Manchester United hopes of signing Juventus star goes up with the air

Manchester United have been done a great blow after Juventus Sporting director announced that their Argentine striker Paulo Dybala will not be leaving the club even under a new manager after the star was linked earlier on of a possible move from the club setting the Red Devils on a red alert.

Dybala who was this week named in his country’s Copa America squad has been linked with a move away from the Italian champions after a struggling season which many links to the coming of Christiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.

The Argentine scored only 26 times in 2017-18, Dybala struggled alongside Cristiano Ronaldo this term, scoring on just 10 occasions in all competitions, his change of playing position is also linked to his poor performance in the season.

He was at sometimes played either as the focal point of attack or in a wide role on the right wing, Dybala ended the season outside of Max Allegri’s preferred first XI leading to suggestions from numerous quarters that he could be set to leave, amid Premier League and La Liga interest.

But sporting director Fabio Paratici has insisted that Dybala won’t be going anywhere this summer regardless of the club’s next manager.

The Director said: “He is one of our players, we have great confidence in him.

“The investment we made four years ago and the renewal of the contract is proof of this. “Dybala is a Juventus player, a very important player for us.”

Paratici’s claims come after the player’s brother, Gustavo, stated that the 25-year-old is keen to leave Turin this summer.

“Yes, there is a good chance he’ll leave Juventus,” he said. “Absolutely. He needs change.”

However, scorn was soon poured on those claims by Dybala himself, with the Bianconeri No.10 outlining his desire to stay at the Allianz Stadium.

“My brother’s statements? He spoke for himself.

“I spoke to the club and [sporting director] Fabio Paratici and they know what I think.”I want to stay at Juventus again next year, I want to continue playing here. “It is obvious that Juventus must make their choices, also based on the new manager that will arrive. However, I want to stay here.”
