Team Kieleweke has invaded Kiambu County and taken full control turning the troubled Governor Ferdinand Waititu powerless.
Governor Waititu has been in a parasitic relationship with The Deputy President William Ruto. The two leaders have been scratching each others back.
But Kieleweke is seemingly turning Governor Waititu powerless with nothing to offer to team Tangatanga.
Kieleweke have asked DP Ruto not to set foot in Kiambu county unless he is accompanied by his boss Uhuru Kenyatta.
In a statement packed with political undertones, the lawmakers criticized the DP as sneaking in Uhuru’s backyard instead of being bold enough to ask for his boss’ blessings.
“You are not welcome in this county unless you are accompanied by Uhuru,” said former MP George Nyanja.
The former MP asked: “How can someone go to another person’s home without his knowledge?”
This is a blow to Governor Ferdinand Waititu who has in the recent past welcomed DP Ruto in region turning it into a political battle field.
But from the new turn of events, Governor Waititu who is under the watch of EACC over corruption allegations in Kiambu County amounting to 600 Million ,will have nothing to offer to DP Ruto.
DP Ruto has been capitalizing on his visits to the Mt Kenya region to strengthen his 2022 Presidential bid.
Among the 11 candidates across the different regions in Kenya who DP Ruto is supposed to choose from a running mate, Hon Anne Waiguru Kirinyaga Governor and Speaker Justin Muturi are from Mt. Kenya region.
But locking of Kiambu county adds more headache to DP Ruto.
Will Governor Waititu unlock the doors of Kiambu to DP Ruto?
