In demand Gor Mahia midfielder Francis Kahata is in no hurry to decide on his next career move. The Former Thika United maestro has been Gor Mahia’s creative force of the past few years and with his deal with the Champions ending next month, his future remains unclear.
Speaking after the trophy presentation at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Saturday, Kahata affirmed that his future will be decided after the African Cup of Nations tournament held to be held in Egypt. Kahata is on Sebastian Migne’s squad for the tournament that starts on 21st June.
“Yes my contract with Gor Mahia is ending in June but I can’t speak on where my future lies right now because right now I have shifted attention to the African Cup of Nations with the national team. I will only talk about my future after the tournament,” Kahata said.
Tanzania giants Simba SC who recently acquired former Gor Mahia striker Meddie Kagere is rumored to be interested in Wuod Nyambura’s signature.
The player was previously linked with a move to Algeria with Gor Mahia chairman Mr. Ambrose Rachier previously confirming that they had received an offer for the midfielder but a deal wasn’t agreed on.
Apart from Kahata, Gor is expected to lose striker Jacques Tuyisenge who has attracted an offer from Angolan giants Petro Atletico.
