REVEALED: When Gor Mahia Will Be Handed League Trophy

This week has been cosy for the Gor Mahia club as they were announced the winners of the Kenya Premier League title for the 18th time and for the third consecutive time.

Gor became victorious after a long season marred by struggles, heartbreaks and violence of the highest level, especially in their continental matches. However, the Green Army defied all odds and managed to be victorious despite having two matches at hand.

Interestingly enough, they will go down in history as the first Kenyan club to win three-peat for the third time. The first time was in 1983, 1984 and 1985, the second time was in 2013, 2014 and 2015 and now for the third time in 2017, 2018 and 2019. What a joy for the K’Ogalo fans!

Just a day after being crowned the champions, their coach Hassan Oktay was awarded the best tactical coach of the month of April. What a week!

And now, good news that has just streamed in is that Gor will be handed the trophy again this weekend.

According to their official twitter handle, Sportpesa Premier League has announced the trophy will be handed to the Green Army this Saturday after their match with Posta Rangers.

Gor fans are expected to come in large number to grace this special moment.
