What a showdown it will be this Sunday as Kariobangi Sharks battle the struggling Mount Kenya United as the Kenyan Premier League comes to a screeching halt with just two matchdays remaining.
That being said, Sunday’s match is pegged to be in the favor Kariobangi Sharks, thanks to a series of pathetic performances by Mount Kenya United.
Indeed, Mount Kenya has had a rough patch. For starters, they have come from five consecutive defeats and player morale is at an all-time low.
Secondly, the team has been plagued by financial constraints as one of their chief sponsors, politician Francis Mureithi has not followed through with substantial payments to keep the club on its feet.
On the other end of the spectrum, Kariobangi Sharks have had a decent run that’s landed them in the 11th sport and ensured that they will enjoy the immense fruits of top-flight football next season.
Additionally, their striker Sidney Simale Lokale will be looking to terrorize Mount Kenya’s defense and ensure that he bags an increased number of goals to bring his tally to a respectable margin!
That being said, it would be wise to place your money on Sharks as Mount Kenya United have essentially nothing to play for but their pride.
That is if they have anything left!
