Jubilee nominated MP Isaac Mwaura, who is also a notorious critique of Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu has come out to spill the beans following the raid of the governor’s houses on Thursday.

The legislator took to his Twitter lauding the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) for the raid, claiming that the governor has amassed tremendous wealth that he did not have before he became governor.

“Bravo EACC for raiding homes of Kiambu Gov Waititu. We hope you’ll find evidence. He should tell us how he got Jamii Bora Hse, vacant plot nearby, Delta Hotel opp central police n Solar Hse, yet when we campaigned together he was as broke. Ukishiba,Usitutapikie,” Mwaura tweeted.

Mr Mwaura, appearing on a TV show further referred to a previous conversation he held with Waititu, where Waititu told him that when he gets to parliament he must steal.

“I was shocked one day when we were with him (Waititu) at the parliamentary gym when he told me point blank. Mwaura when we get into parliament we must steal because Raila Odinga stole…” Mwaura said at NTV’s AM Live Show.

Mwaura was also seated in the Senate Public Accounts and Investments Committee grilling the governor over a county budget probe.

“It is unacceptable that a county would have budget line on State House, and some peace process in South Sudan,” Mwaura posed.

“Is this money meant for personal use so that they are hidden under some certain budget lines?” he asked Waititu.

Waititu was on May 2, questioned over the Kiambu County Government’s alleged allocation of Ksh.1 billion to functions of the national government.

The Auditor General revealed that the county had budgeted for State House functions, benefits for retired presidents, Free Primary Education and the South Sudan peace program.
