Deputy President William Ruto is a man who is so aligned to the Church, a man who loves the church and is apparently ready to take a bullet for it.
The DP has lately been under attacks over his generousity towards the men in cloth. Ruto gives out Millions left, right and center and is never ashamed of showing it to the General Public.
It so seems like Pastors and Bishops are growing fond of Ruto day in day out as many of them are now reported to be even booking appointments with him as some invite him for worship at their various churches.
Well, i do not blame them as they also want a taste of the DP’s Millions that seem to fall like manna and quails from heaven.
Ruto attends like 5 different church services in a weekend and everyone he goes, he makes it rain Millions.
His Millions have time and again made him a target for his Political enemies who have even insisted that a Lifestyle Audit be carried out on him as his salary as a DP cannot enable him contribute large sums of money in churches.
Ruto has however stood his ground and insisted that he will continue giving money to churches to help spread the gospel.
Ruto has argued that in as much as we do not know when christ will Return, it is upon Christians to prepare the way for his 2nd Coming.
Ruto has insisted that his faith comes first before ‘politician’ titles.
“Since Sunday school we learned to kneel before and worship GOD that’s the ONLY reason we stand before men,” Said Ruto.
“We will continue to worship Jehovah with our hearts and substance.”
Ruto’s committment to serve the Church will come as good message to the Pastors and Bishops while it is a slap on the face of people like Raila Odinga and Musalia Mudavadi who have time and again asked the DP to make public the source of his wealth.
Opposition leader Raila Odinga once hit out at corrupt leaders for turning churches into avenues of laundering money obtained illegally from public coffers.
This did not go well with Ruto who in turn referred to Mr. Odinga as a Mganga who believe’s in Devil Worshipping.
