Gor Mahia FC will be handed the Kenya Premier League title on Saturday as they play Posta Rangers on Saturday 25 May.
The coronation will, however, happen only if Gor Mahia beat Vihiga United in the KPL match set for Machakos Stadium at 4:15 PM.
KPL C.E.O Jack Oguda says the sponsors are ready for the coronation which will mark the 18 Kenya Premier League title in the history if Kenya Premier League.
“We will hand the trophy to Gor Mahia on Saturday if they beat Vihiga United on Wednesday. We met with the league sponsors and agreed to coronate the team on Saturday but all this will depend on whether they will get the points they require against Vihiga,” Oguda told Goal.
Vihiga United have beaten Gor Mahia once in the last three meetings.
