Former Uasin Gishu Gubernatorial Aspirant Bundotich Zedekiah alias BUZEKI was on Tuesday under heavy troll from a section of Facebook users after photos of him emerged online addressing a small crowd in Bomet county days after ditching William Ruto’s camp.
BUZEKI who ditched Jubilee for Isaac Ruto’s CCM P[arty was in Bomet county for an official meeting with the party’s chairman Rutto. The meeting brought together more than 200 delegates from Uasin Gishu, Nandi, Narok and Bomet.
But the meeting didn’t just end in peace as some of the facebook users from the region took to their social sites to make fun of the incoming CCM’s secretary general for failing to attract a sizeable crowd along the road.
Buzeki and Rutto have agreed on a political deal that will see the former governor remain the party leader while Buzeki becomes the secretary general.
“They are running Jubilee like a cartel and they think Rift Valley is their property. There is nothing like that and they will be shocked to look behind and find no one following them,” said Buzeki in a past function.
In a scathing attack on some Ruto’s allies on Wednesday, Buzeki stated: “I have decided to go away to God and to the people so that we can save this country from the real cartels that are evil.”
Buzeki observed that those allies who never wanted him to get anywhere near the county’s top seat were jealous of his deeds and instead of joining him in helping the farmers they started calling him names and plotted a move to destroy his future political ambitions.
Buzeki pointed out his decisions to help the region’s farmers import cheaper Fertilizers after the government failed to secure subsidized ones as the main reason why Ruto’s allies started fighting him.
In February, Buzeki helped farmers to identify the Export Trading Group (ETG) to support in procuring maize from farmers at Sh1,900 per 90kg bag and also sell fertilizer to them at Sh3,000 per 50kg bag through registered cooperatives.
Buzeki is among the leaders who have expressed interest in contesting the 2022 election on the CCM party.
