5 things to expect on week 32 of the Kenyan Premier League

Matchday 32 of the Kenyan Premier League takes center stage this Wednesday with 7 matches set to take place with the other 2 scheduled for Thursday. Below we take a look at 5 things to expect from the Kenyan top flight.

Kariobangi Sharks to drop more points

One win from 14 league matches is an embarrassing return from any team, leave alone one as good managed and talented as Kariobangi Sharks. William Muluhya’s side has not been the same free-flowing attacking force there were ever since they won the SportPesa Super Cup tournament in Tanzania.

Next up for the Slum boys is a tricky away clash against Ulinzi Stars at the Afraha Stadium. The Soldiers rarely drop points at home and as Sharks recent form dictates, it is highly likely that the away team will not leave Nakuru with 3 points in the bag.

AFC Leopards to pile more misery on MKU

Mount Kenya United will be playing in the National Super League next season, that much is already crystal clear. They have been poor throughout the season and claims emerged earlier this week that the players have not been paid for close to a year.

AFC Leopards, on the other hand, is fresh off a thorough beating from their arch-rivals Gor Mahia in the mashemeji derby. The Leopards will be eager to sink their wounded claws into their next opponents and luckily for them, Mount Kenya United is already disjointed prey ready for roasting.

Again, Again and AGAIN!

It’s all very simple now, Gor Mahia are one win away from being crowned Champions for the third consecutive season. Hassan Oktay’s did extremely well to put their shaky start to the season behind and embark on the amazing run that now has them a win away from winning the league with 2 games to spare.

Vihiga United are not who you would place your money on to force an upset and should all things go as expected, K’Ogallo will leave Machakos as Champions, AGAIN!

Mathare United to test Bandari’s resolve

Bandari FC is currently enjoying the best run of form in the league. The Coastal baed side has won 5 of their last six matches are as a result has overtaken Sofapaka as the favorites for runners up. They play with confidence and believe in their own abilities but that will be put to the test against 2008 Champions Mathare United.

Francis Kimanzi’s side has lost just once in their last 7 outings and always seem to bring their A game against the top 4 sides. Expect fireworks when the two meet at Kasarani.

Zoo Kericho to shock Tusker?

Relegation is increasingly becoming a possibility for Zoo Kericho. They are currently in the playoff position but could move out of that position with a win against Tusker and Chemelil fail to beat Sofapaka. At this stage of the season, teams fighting relegation can be very dangerous to play against.

Should Tusker FC be complacent in this match, they could be in for a rude shock from Zoo.
