A rogue lorry driver Monday morning killed two passengers injuring some three others after a speed rage turned ugly.
Witnesses of the early morning accident narrated that two lorries were speeding on the Mwea-Embu highway in Kirinyaga when one of the lorries rammed a PSV matatu from behind to avoid a head-on collision.
The lorries were reported to be ferrying Miraa at the time of the accident.
Two of the PSV matatu occupants died on the spot while three other survivors were admitted at Embu County Hospital.
The matatu was towed to Wang’uru police station while police launched a manhunt for the lorry driver who fled the accident scene after the grisly accident.
